To ensure the timely introduction and implementation of the government’s discretionary grant fund in Halton

Halton has been allocated circa £800k of grant to support businesses in the Borough that have not previously received funding from other financial packages. Although the grant will be difficult to administer, it provides much needed support to local businesses. Therefore, not to accept the grant would not be a sensible option, and this has been rejected.
