To seek approval
for the development of a smart micro grid that that would seek to decarbonise
the Council’s building electricity, heating and transport via the culmination
of several technologies.
The project will
increase the total installed capacity to 5.1MW and connect the additional solar
PV generators and building loads via the installation of a High Voltage ring
between the following Council sites in central Widnes:

Municipal Offices, Kingsway, Widnes WA8 7QF
·
The New
HBC Leisure Centre, Ellis Street, Widnes, WA8 7AP
·
The
Lower House Lane Depot, WA8 7AW
